What to Blog When Your Sick
That’s right you need to have a post ready even when your sick. NO – MATTER – WHAT! Yet, all the planning and preparation can blow up in your face. So, how do we avoid this? It’s actually rather simple.
Of course the obvious answer is to already have a blog ready to go before you get sick. However, if you are anything like me and don’t really blog ‘early’ unless there are topics I feel I should cover or it is a series (which I’m working on a few now actually – thanks ProBlogger BOOK!).
So the easiest way to get blogs knocked out when…your knocked out is every other day write up an extra post. Nothing extraordinary just something that peeks your interest. You could even have a introduction to the subject at hand talking about how your out sick you are and this was post was done while heaving chunks into the porcelain God. What? Too much?
No matter what route to take you should always have 3-5 post on back-up. Whose to say those back-up’s can’t be your regular posting for the day and the one’s you think of ‘today’ are saved for tomorrow. As writers we need to write in advance (unless we’re speaking on tech stuff which can change daily – if not hourly).
Nonetheless be prepared in your blogging because you never know when your going to get hit way the hay fever or that good old flu that loves you so much every year. We know we are going to get sick – we are NOT Bruce Willis and this is NOT Invincible…remember, he never got sick. I think I made my point and let me go into the reasoning behind the post (majority of the time there is a reason).
Tomorrow morning I will going to the dentist to find out why they couldn’t find my back tooth getting ready to sprout and is now jagging into my cheek and at times makes me want to rip my flesh off to tear out the tooth complete with root. Then hopefully they can pull it (only after giving me that great knock-out gas) and I’ll be in la-la land for the rest of the day.
So cross your fingers and if you’re following me on Twitter - you might receive some random twits.
